What’s Your Sign?
The Sun’s Journey Through the Zodiac
What motivates you? What is your mission in life?
In Evolutionary Astrology, the Sun sign in your birth chart symbolizes the development of a coherent self-image; the natural and healthy form of your ego. In order to feel a sense of alignment and sanity, you must respond constructively to your Sun’s purpose. That is key to living a vibrant, authentic life.
The Sun is central to any discussion of the birth chart and sets the tone of one’s mission here on earth. When I say “I’m an Aquarius,” I’m referring to the Sun in my chart. Not the Moon, or Venus, or Mars (although they can be in the same sign as the Sun!). It’s one player on a stage of psychological actors that each have an agenda of their own as they strive for some form of integration. The director in all of this? The Sun.
“The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.”
In the next twelve posts, I follow the path of the Sun around all twelve signs in the zodiac and offer a primer on the motivations and agendas of each sign. What drives the sign’s purpose? How can it be successful in its pursuit of sanity and feeling alive? What energies might “trip up” the sign if one is not mindful of its shadow side?
All of these questions help us navigate life in a more conscious and focused way. Bringing a sense of awareness and curiosity to all the signs - not just your Sun sign, but all twelve signs in the zodiac - helps us understand how to live more fully, more authentically. I ask that you approach this information with that same sense of curiosity! Enjoy 🙂

One note: If you are born on the cusp of a sign (meaning, right at the beginning or end date for that sign), you will need to know the exact time of your birth to determine if your sun is in the current or next sign. Knowing your time of birth is also critical in determining your ascendant (aka, your rising sign), which then positions all twelve zodiac signs on each of twelve houses within your birth chart. The houses are where the “rubber hits the road” if you will—where motivation becomes action on the grand stage of life.

Many people are feeling “in between” right now — not necessarily lost, but no longer aligned with old roles, identities, or definitions of success. In this reflection, I share what I’m seeing across client astrology readings and the broader astrological context behind this quiet, collective shift. This isn’t about prediction, but about understanding change with more clarity, honesty, and self-trust.
When life feels uncertain or a familiar pattern begins to repeat, many people turn to astrology looking for answers. Evolutionary astrology offers something deeper than prediction. It provides a way to understand the inner dynamics shaping your experiences and the kind of growth being asked of you over time. In this article, I explore astrology as a system for self-awareness rather than fate, showing how the birth chart can serve as a living framework for clarity, choice, and personal evolution. When you understand how the pieces of your chart work together, astrology becomes a practical tool for living with greater intention and trust.
This post explores the philosophy behind my upcoming workshop series, We are all made of stars. It’s an introduction to astrology as an evolutionary system — a clear, beginner-friendly framework for understanding your birth chart and navigating your life.
When a new year approaches, many of us can feel the subtle sense that something is shifting. Astrology offers a grounded way to understand these changes by revealing the evolutionary cycles that shape our growth. In this article, I explore how planetary transits can help you navigate the year ahead with more intention, clarity and trust. Using my own upcoming transits as an example, I share how recognizing the rhythm of your personal astrology can make decision-making easier, reduce uncertainty and bring deeper meaning to the path you are walking.
The New York Times claims your zodiac sign is “2,000 years out of date.” Here’s why that’s false, and why astrology is timeless and season-based.
When life feels like it’s shifting under your feet, astrology can help you make sense of the changes. In this piece, I share how Pluto’s once-in-a-lifetime conjunction to my Sun transformed my life’s direction — and how you can use your own birth chart to navigate big transitions with clarity and purpose.
Sacred geometry isn’t just beautiful—it’s the blueprint of creation. In astrology, it’s the silent architecture behind every aspect, pattern, and cycle in your chart. From the Seed of Life to the Platonic Solids, explore how these timeless forms illuminate your soul’s design and guide you toward conscious growth.
What happens when everything feels stalled—but something deeper is quietly shifting beneath the surface?
